Michael is also a member of FAPIA, the Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters. FAPIA holds its members to a strict Code of Ethics to protect the interests of insured homeowners and businesses that have suffered property damage. In addition, Michael is Florida Legislative Director for AAPIA, the American Association of Public Insurance Adjusters.
As a Certified Management Consultant in New York, Michael gained the skills to provide Risk Management Consulting. He reviews both residential and commercial property insurance policies, and physically inspects the properties, to assure adequate coverage. He does not sell insurance, but will make recommendations to discuss with your insurance agent.
As a member of The Rotary Club of Weston, Michael is active in the community and holds to the Rotary’s Four-Way Test: 1) Is it the Truth? 2) Is it fair to all concerned? 3) Will it build good will and better friendships? 4) Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Michael started in the hurricane reconstruction industry in 1992 after Hurricane Andrew. While helping property owners to rebuild homes and restore commercial buildings, he experienced time and time again that the Policyholder was being underpaid by their Insurance Company--directly affecting their ability to restore their property. This experience led Michael to become a Public Adjuster, representing the Insured in collecting what they are due.
Michael is skilled in documenting losses and negotiating settlements with Insurance Companies. When a team approach is needed, he brings in additional professionals such as engineers and attorneys to adjust the claim. If necessary he pursues claims into appraisal, mediation or lawsuit, and acts as expert witness for the Insured. Whatever it takes, Michael is committed to collecting for the Policyholder.
